About Dr. Allen

Dr. Madison Allen is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of The Psychology Collective, a boutique practice offering thoughtful, evidence-based psychological care for individuals and couples seeking meaningful growth, clarity, and connection.

Dr. Allen earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency at Florida State University, where she received advanced training in integrated psychological and medical settings. Her clinical experience spans private practice, university healthcare, community mental health, and medical systems—equipping her with a broad and sophisticated understanding of psychological health across contexts.

Dr. Allen was drawn to psychology out of a deep curiosity about how people function both independently and within relationships. Her therapeutic style is rooted in evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic and relational models—allowing her to adapt treatment to the unique needs, goals, and personality of each client. She prioritizes the development of insight alongside meaningful change, helping clients not only understand themselves more deeply, but also move forward with intention and clarity.

Dr. Allen lives in the Tampa Bay area with her husband and their two dogs, Rhett and Rorie. She enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants and local activities, and returning to her home state of South Carolina to attend Clemson University football games. She spends a great deal of time in Massachusetts and the New England region, where she visits family and takes in the natural beauty and spectacular summer months.
