Telehealth via PSYPACT

Dr. Allen holds an Authorization to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT), which allows her to provide telehealth services to clients in 42 states.

PSYPACT is an agreement between states to honor aspects of a psychologist’s licensure in order to increase access to care for individuals and couples living in locations that are not the same as their provider.

How Does Telehealth via PSYPACT Work?

Know if PSYPACT is available in your state.

Although most U.S. states have enacted PSYPACT legislation, not all are participating yet. Check the map above to ensure that you live in a state that has actively enacted PSYPACT legislation. If you are not sure, you can also email Dr. Allen to find out!

Contact Dr. Allen for a consutlation or initial intake

In order to successfully participate in telehealth via PSYPACT, you will need to ensure that you have a stable internet connection, a device that you can complete appointments on (phone, tablet, computer, etc.), and a private space to attend your appointments from.

Complete all necessary paperwork

For clients located in PSYPACT states, there may be additional paperwork needed to ensure that your location meets PSYPACT requirements. Dr. Allen will ensure that you have all necessary documentation.

Start and continue your therapy appointments

You are now ready to begin your therapy sessions! Dr. Allen will send you a unique, HIPAA-compliant telehealth link for each appointment. Log into your session from your private space using this link.
