    Logistics That Work

When beginning your work, sessions typically occur on a weekly or biweekly basis. This frequency will allow for a thorough assessment period and the effective implementation of treatment and strategies.

Once your goals have been achieved, session frequency will typically decrease to monthly appointments in order to maintain progress before concluding your work.

After this, you may reach out any time in the future to schedule appointments as needed.

    Learn The Basics

Begin by building awareness of the self at the most basic levels.

Informed by the principles of Evolutionary Psychology and Neuroscience, we will explore the origins of your symptoms, patterns, and distress.

Together we will better understand what is happening within the brain, nervous system, and body when symptoms, triggers, or distress occur. You will leave this phase of our work with a newfound awareness of your body and with strategies for more effectively managing your symptoms.

    Bring In The History

The next phase of your work typically involves a nuanced understanding of your history and relationship dynamics.

This is informed by Psychodynamic Theory, Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Relational Therapy models.

We will explore your relationships and collective life experiences in order to better understand your current symptoms and patterns.

Here we will examine how you have adapted to your environments and relationships and assess whether these adaptations remain functional — or if a change is needed to help you reach your goals.

    Strategies Just For You

During this final phase of your work, the focus will be on applicable and meaningful changes.

Specific skill and strategy recommendations will be made that are unique to your goals and informed by your specific biopsychosocial make up.

We will emphasize the practice and implementation of these skills in every day life and assess the effectiveness over time. Changes to the treatment plan will be recommended as needed.

The goal is to provide you with a unique combination of strategies and interventions that are tailored specifically to you.
