The Psychology Collective is primarily a private pay practice, which allows for the utmost personalization in your care.
Dr. Allen is an in-network provider with the following insurance provider for individual therapy services only.
Aetna (via Headway)
Please note that Dr. Allen does not accept insurance for couples therapy services. All couples therapy services are self pay, regardless of insurance provider.
Insurance Billing Policies
In-Network Insurance (Aetna)
For clients in Massachusetts and New York who would like to use their Aetna insurance benefits, it is recommended to contact the (800) number on the back of your insurance card to confirm coverage, attain preauthorizations, and to learn more about copays or deductibles that apply to your specific plan.
Out of Network Insurance
Dr. Allen is out of network with all other insurance plans.
For these clients, Dr. Allen can provide a Superbill for personal reimbursement.
For clients choosing this option, please note:
It is the client’s responsibility to contact the (800) number on the back of their insurance card to learn about out of network mental health benefits. Some plans do not have these benefits or they may not be used for telehealth therapy services.
It is important that client’s accurately understand their coverage, any information on deductibles, and any need for treatment preauthorizations or verifications of benefits.
Individual therapy clients will self pay for their services at the time of the service and can be provided with documentation to be submitted to their insurance provider.
Non-Participating with Insurance Providers
Dr. Allen is non-participating with insurance providers. Dr. Allen will not contact or engage in any disputes with insurance providers on behalf of clients.
Unaccepted Insurance Plans
At this time, Dr. Allen is not able to work with clients with Medicare or Medicaid insurance plans.
